I am a licensed professional counselor and member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dayton, Dayton OH where I obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in religious studies. I earned my Master’s degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and family clinical practice from Argosy University, Atlanta GA.
I have 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults providing mental health services at therapeutic summer camps, residential treatment centers, community mental health agencies, and private practices.
My professional interests include: psychological testing and assessment, anxiety, depression, child and adolescent emotional and behavior problems, addictions, anger management, pre-marital and marriage counseling, gay and lesbian issues, faith and spiritual concerns, intimate partner abuse, and court-mandated treatment.
My approach to therapy consists of using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapies. I often use Parent Management Training (PMT) to address child/adolescent oppositional, aggressive, and antisocial behavior.
